How to write an argumentative discussion in regards to anti-war?

The War of 1812 is often called America's second war of independence. From the end of the American Revolution in 1783 until the United States declared war in 1812 the relationship between the United States and England was strained. After the French Revolution began in 1789 our relationship with France also became more complicated, especially as the revolution became more violent and Napoleon Bonaparte rose to power. Americans divided themselves into Pro-British and Pro-French factions. This period was one of the most contentious in our history. At times, we were as close to war with France as we were with England.

This exercise asks the class to engage in a short debate about whether the United States should go to war with England. The class is divided into groups, one group is pro-war the other anti-war.

The response must include a reference list. Using one-inch margins, double-space, Times New Roman 12 pnt font and APA style of writing and citations.
