Question 1: How to use Filter node to keep only records for a specific value?
A) Drag the Filter node from Sample tab and connect it to your data source.
B) If the data variables (columns) you want to deal with are only categorical variables:
- Go to the property and find the Class Variables part, click the Ellipsis besides the Class Variables, select "User Specified" under the Filtering Method column for each of the variable you want to do filtering with;
- Click Generate Summary;
- In the Bar Plot generated, select a variable, and the select a level/category that you want to filter out in the data, and then click Apply Filter;
- Click OK;
- Change Default Filtering Method to None, and Normalized Values to No;
- Then find the Interval Variables part, change Default Filtering Method under Interval Variables to None.
C) If the data variables (columns) you want to deal with are only numerical variables:
- Go to the property and find the Interval Variables part, click the Ellipsis besides the Interval Variables, select "User Specified" under the Filtering Method column for each of the variable you want to do filtering with;
- Put a lower limit value in the Filter Lower Limit and put an upper limit value in the Filter Upper Limit;
- Click OK;
- Change Default Filtering Method to None;
- Then find the Class Variables part, change Default Filtering Method under Class Variables to none, and Normalized Values to No.
