How to solve a complex situations

Discuss below in a 400 words:

Suppose that you created an robot that was so advanced it could act independently in very complex situations. It made its own decisions and always did exactly what it wanted to do, in accordance with its programming. Would such an robot be capable of free action? Why or why not?

Robots are simply a machine made by humans for purpose of doing things that human would want them to do. There are many human like robot in the world right now but all those robot are made with Artificial Intelligence which is made by human. Of all the robots we have seen today most of them are made for specific purpose. Some robots are able to talk and interact with humans and some are made to lift heavy equipments and do some physical task. Not all robots are able to do everything human can do as they have been specified for specific purposes.

If I created a robot that is so advance that it could act independently then thats what I will be wanting the robot to do and I will be working on the robot according to my requirements. The robot would be able to make its own decision but based on my opinion as I would be the one programming it. Keeping all these things together, I believe robots cannot be capable of free action even though it is programmed to do so. Human have the ability to learn things, have own interest and desire, have own opinion and agreements and disagreements on certain things. Every human being is different and everyone has their own opinion and desires. If I created a robot then that robot will have the knowledge of my own and it would act based on my programmed understanding which would be based on my desire and my opinion. Surely, it could make decision of its own but the options for it to decide would be of my own. My interest would match the interest of the robot. Capable of free action means being able to create own opinion and own desire which a robot cannot have by its own. It is possible that a robot can make its own decision by its self but the option of decision that it need to take must be programmed by the creator itself. For example, if a robot have to decide on which book store is best for renting books and given ten different store choices, then the robot would surely be able to choose one book store by its own among those ten store options but cannot choose a store that does not fall under those ten different store options.

All in all, robots can be independent on doing some complex tasks but will not be capable of free actions as they are made by humans and humans have control over it.
