Research a nationalist movement in a foreign government that seeks to preserve some elements of culture or identity. Be sure that you can identify the movement's concerns and goals. France, England, Hungary, and Greece are just a few examples of such movements in Europe. Find situations in which individuals have celebrated these efforts as well as situations in which these efforts have been a cause for concern.
Using your research, respond to the following statement:

Yes, I believe that governments should play a role in preserving national traditions and Values. It might be surprising to some that a word like "values" would have a place in a legal dictionary or encyclopedia. We do not typically think of "values" as a legal word or term of art. Perhaps more importantly, however, we simply do not think of "values" at all: it is one of the words we rely on enormously in our everyday and specialized discourses-including legal-but take completely for granted, not giving it a second thought. Antaki, M. (2020). Values are what makes up the society and the ability to adhere to some type of productive standard. I think that the government should do what it can to help produce an environment where all values and traditions are protected and to some degree promoted. I think that becoming a good citizen is to know what and where we came from. I do think that the government should do more for the Indian above all others due to the way we treated them. The government also needs to do more to make sure that the young are taught about our history and see to it that we don't forget the mistakes of the past.
