Assignment task: The community hall, Otapihi Hall, is managed by the Otapihi Hall Committee. One way in which revenue is generated to help maintain the hall is the hire of the hall as a venue for a variety of social functions.

One contractual hall hire booking is by Kora and Wiremu, who have been married for 50 years and wanted to celebrate their wedding anniversary with their friends and whanau. They have already paid the $500 hall hire fee.

Two weeks before their scheduled event there is an unprecedented global pandemic due to a tricky virus called Covid-23. The New Zealand government places substantial restrictions on the operation of business and travel, compelling people to stay largely confined to their homes. The Otaphi Hall Committee are concerned as there a number of social events scheduled that have hired the Otapihi Hall and cannot go ahead. Kora and Wiremu's wedding anniversary celebration being one of them.

Required:

Advise the Otapihi Hall Committee whether they have to perform any future obligations under these hall hire contracts and if any money already paid would have to be returned.
