How to determine the position of the mass


A mass suspended by a spring is subjected to a triangular force impulse. At the initiation of the impulse, the force is 200N and decreases linearly to zero in τ/4 seconds (where τ is the natural period of the system). Determine the position of the mass at t = τ/2 seconds. The mass is 50kg and the spring constant is 96N/mm.
