A cycle is characterized by the following three processes: Process 1-2 is defined to be a constant pressure expansion. Process 2-3 occurs with PV = constant. Process 3-1 is a depressurization at constant volume. a) Sketch the cycle b) Is this cycle a power cycle, or refrigeration cycle? c) If P3 is 3 bar, calculate either the thermal efficiency (if it is a power cycle), or the COP (if this is a refrigeration cycle). Can this problem even be solved with this amount of information? How to determine the COP of this system, given only that the first process is isobaric, the second is PV = constant, the final process is isochoric, and the pressure after the second process is 3 bar?
