Problem
Much like the private sector, the economy has a direct influence on police departments and how they operate. When the economy is doing good, tax monies flow into the municipal government. When the economy does bad, there is often times a decrease in those revenues. Police are not immune from having to figure out how to counter the negative influences of reduced funding.
