How to approach to the midcentury moderns


Assignment task: One of the core tenets in the approach to the Midcentury Moderns is to read them as part of connected social and artistic networks. They are friends and students of other writers; they drink together and make toasts at each other's messy weddings. But they also have connections to writers from earlier periods.
