How thick does steel need to be for cylinder diameter


How thick does the 4140 steel need to be if it is a cyclander with a diameter of 8.252 inches and is 1.5 inches deep and overall thickness is 2.0 inches, so the thickness needed to withstand 325 is 0.5 inches. How do i know that 0.5 inches is enough to withstand that pressure.
