Patient is received from the operating room. Aron Fisher Male, 57 years old. You have had a coronary bypass. He is under the effects of anesthesia. The sedation administered is Propofol and remifentanil in a continuous infusion pump. He takes dobutamine, norepinephrine, analgesia (4 metamizole, 3 tramadol, 2 metoclopramide), saline with 15 mEq of potassium chloride, and rapid insulin in a continuous infusion pump. He is connected to mechanical ventilation through an orotracheal tube. He wears a bladder catheter and two chest tubes that drain into a pleural evac. He carries a surgical wound (sternotomy), a radial line, and a swan ganz catheter. Cardiac output is controlled through a monitor and is monitored to control blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, temperature, central venous pressure, and pulmonary artery pressure. It has a peripheral line through which a maintenance saline is passed. The patient reports that she is very thirsty during the first hours after extubation. The next morning she eats coffee with milk and cookies for breakfast with good tolerance. He eats vegetable, fish and orange puree. After 24 hours the patient is stable.
