For your third reflection assignment, please choose one health topic of your choice (a particular disease, condition, etc.) or health-related behavior (drinking alcohol, smoking, nutrition, etc.) and choose two media sources that discusses this topic.
The media outlet may be news, entertainment, or advertising. Next, look up this same health issue or behavior on a public health website (CDC, MDH, etc.) and compare how the media sources present the information with how the information is presented on the public health website.
The purpose of the assignment is to compare and contrast the coverage between a media source and a public health source. In your discussion of how they compare and contrast, you must use one media theory (cultivation theory, social learning theory, etc.). You may also want to use outside resources to support your points.
Describe how the media source's coverage is similar and different to the information you found on the public health website.
