You will research and identify a case of police brutality dated within the last five years.
1. Factors may include training at the time of hire, police culture, individual personality characteristics, personal life stressors, experiences on the frontline, vicarious trauma, etc.
2. You may also consider the role of community relations in determining the behavior of the police and the suspect. Think about how the behavior of the police officer might in turn impact the reaction of a person who is under investigation or being questioned.
3. Lastly, you will discuss how the media impacted the case for the officer, victim, and the law enforcement community.
