Please pull up an example for four of the types of printmaking listed below:
Reductive Woodcut
Engraving (be sure you are looking at the printing process here, I have had students write about engraving on jewelry which is not a printmaking process)
Etching
Mezzotint
Aquatint
Drypoint
Lithography
Screenprinting (also called Silkscreen)
Monotypes
Find examples of four types of printmaking on the internet, underneath each example label it and describe the process used to make the image. I expect a full paragraph on each type of printmaking you choose to write about,
You will need to explain all of the following in each explanation:
-what type of tools are used.
-how the tools are used
-what surface the image is on before it is printed (a plank of wood, a stone, a cooper plate, etc.)
-how the image to applied to the surface (carved, drawn with grease pencil, etc)
-are there chemicals used in any way, if so how?
-what type of paper is commonly used for the process
-how the image is "printed"?
