As you've now learned, minors can be charged with manufacturing, disseminating, and possessing child pornography for "sexting" nude photographs of themselves to other minors. Is the application of felony child pornography laws too harsh against the minors that commit these acts? Can you find examples of states that are trying to create laws that address this specific practice in a less harsh way? In a one- to two-page, single-spaced essay, describe how these effective or proposed laws will treat minors who engage in this behavior. Discuss whether you find the laws appropriate in response to the problem.
