Assignment Task:
Develop a multimediated project that discusses how technology has influenced the role of collaboration and interactions in general as it pertains to schools and school improvement. The technology used is your choice. Please be sure to include as much multi-mediated technology as possible, i.e., video clips, YouTube videos, Voki, embedded videos, podcasts, websites, etc. What impact have the Internet, e-mail, instant messaging, cellular phones, conference calling, and other technological advances had on collaboration in general? Which technological advances specifically impact educators and which ones can we use to improve our collaboration in and around schools? What does your crystal ball tell you about how technology will impact us in the future? Also, be sure to address why technology is accused of having a damaging effect on communication and people in general. Remember, application and reflection is the key. A project which simply provides facts is not adequate for this level of professionalism.
Please pay attention to both quality and quantity. By now you should understand professionalism, so I will not limit you by giving a quantitative number of pages, videos, etc. You are upper level college students readying yourself for teaching; show me that you are active learners and serious about helping children and teaching as a profession.
