How talent management of organizational intervention worthy


Problem: Drawing on theory, quantitative/qualitative data, and case studies, you will make an argument for if, when and how the Performance Management / Talent Management of organizational development intervention is worth the investment of time and resources that an organization would need to make in order to implement it. The presentation should build on your OD knowledge, course concepts, and should consider how the intervention you are describing can impact, and be impacted by, other organizational systems plus any internal and/or external factors. Imagine that you are an OD consultant making an argument, based on evidence and precedents, to a skeptical CEO or board of directors, about why their organization should do the intervention in the first place, and why it should be done in a manner congruent with the best practices that you identify and document. The presentation should also include an analysis of the intervention(s) in the context of OD theories and models. The assignment will take the form of a PowerPoint presentation including a slide handout with an executive summary as well as any reference appendices or supplementary materials. Each team will be provided 15 minutes to present your research, answering questions, and facilitating a class discussion.
