2. Should Texas cities be allowed to pass ordinances against discrimination? (think, LGBTQ employment discrimination, HERO laws) Should Texas cities be allowed to pass ordinances for the protection of people who reside in those cities? (think, sanctuary cities, abortion rights, transgender bathroom laws, fracking) Or, should state law preempt city ordinances? (for the good of all the people) Lastly, when these laws are passed by local or state governments, should the federal government have the right to preempt them?

3. What role should the federal government play in maintaining equality for the citizens of the various states?

4. Within this battle for citizen's rights and protections, local government's need to create a healthy cultural climate, state's rights, and federal government authority, where do you believe the power should lie? Is there a way to maintain equilibrium?
