Project guidelines
One group can have maximum four students. The report should include summary, introduction, the problem, your solution, and conclusions. The length should be approximately twelve to fifteen double-spaced, typewritten pages. Format your report using the APA style. You may check following websites for further details about APA style:

General advice: Please do not copy other sources directly. Try to cite sources when you include same (or essentially same) materials from other sources.
For professional writing, merely citing at the end of your report is not good enough; you need cite in the main text to clearly show which are others and which are your own work, especially when you copy paragraph by paragraph.
A good layout of your report:
Summary: 1st sentence: introduce basically what the company, Contoso, is; a few sentences: explain major problems; a few sentences for your analysis and solution; a few more sentences for your conclusions: e.g., Dynamics AX implementation can enhancedocumentation and internal control and eliminateduplication of customer data. Try to be specific.
Introduction: Give details of the company and which challenges the company is facing.
The problem: Explain major problems.
(Analysis and) solution: Please naturally embed your answers to three key questions on page 18 in the case material:
1. How can Microsoft Dynamics ERP solutions and products help Contoso, Ltd. with their business process challenges? In your presentation, be clear about each type of solution you are recommending and how it can be helpful to Constoso.
2. How should Contoso begin to address its challenges with disparate systems? How can disparate systems be integrated? How much integration is practical and/or feasible?
3. Assume Contoso hires your firm, Litware, to implement a new ERP solution to replace its old legacy system and consolidate other systems. What should the management team of Contoso expect in terms of a common methodology for changing to a new system? In other terms, explain a common approach that Microsoft Partners use to implement new systems for their clients.
Your solution should be based on your own analyses. For question 1, you can apply what you learned from our yellow textbook (Dynamics AX: A Guide to Microsoft Axapta) and you use Microsoft website, as well as your own experience with the software. For question 2, you can use our blue textbook (Concepts in Enterprise Resource Planning) chapters 1 and 2. For question 3, you can use our blue textbook (Concepts in Enterprise Resource Planning) chapter 7 materials of ERP implementation.
Conclusions: Please briefly recap main points you can conclude, and sometimes mention limitations and further development.
