Rousseau was in many ways a less traditional and systematic thinker than Hobbes or Locke. Still, many people believe he is very relevant today because of his understanding of human psychology and individual expression, even if they reject key elements of his political theory. Describe two examples of how Rousseau's understanding of human individuality can be seen in American society today.
