Problem
You are the office manager at Rassy Medical Center, a fast-paced medical facility in which has had several cases of strep throat (Group A Streptococcal). The city has reported an epidemic of strep throat which has led to panic among your patients. There has been an increase in patients scheduling appointments, many of which may be unnecessary. The clinic has been seeing almost double the number of patients daily due to concerns about this bacterial infection. Many of them display minimal or no symptoms and test negative for strep throat. The overload of well patients is taking time away from the providers' treatment of those that do in fact have the infection. Your clinic must quickly reach out to the community to ensure they understand the correct information regarding this bacteria and its effects.
Record a 1-3 minute audio statement which will be sent via a blast voice message to all of the patients in the clinic's system. Explain to your patients, in layman's terms, the basics of the strep throat infection that has spread throughout their community. Your recording must contain the following elements:
1) How the infection is spread
2) How one might prevent the infection
3) Signs and symptoms of the infection
4) When one should consider making a doctor appointment
5) Clear voice and concise message.
