Discussion Post
We will close out our discussion of the policy making process and distinguish policy modification from policy initiation. Here, there will be an effort to teach the modification phase and regulation of that phase. Finally, we will explore policy competence for health administration professionals and your role in influencing policy making.
i. Apply and interpret the stages in the policy making process.
ii. Critique the practical aspects of how one might influence the policy process through the political process.
iii. Evaluate the relationship between access to care, quality of care, and health outcomes.
