Answer all of the following questions. Please limit your answers to one page for each question, concisely and thoroughly written and include the questions above your answers.
1. Compare and contrast the ways that the nursing profession meets the characteristics of a profession as published by Flexner with the ten characteristics outlined by the pharmacy task force on professionalism (Task Force on Professionalism, 2000).
2. Discuss how research has shown that the BSN nursing preparation improves the care delivered by improved patient outcomes. Use research to support your answer by citing the three assigned article readings above to answer this question (Aiken, et al (2002, 2003 and 2008-all three articles above) for full credit.
3. Discuss the Nightingale Pledge as a historical document, ethical statement and explain what value this document has for today's nurses.
4. List two ways in which a conceptual model differs from a grand theory or a middle-range theory and explain with the evidence.
