Decisions Homework
Pick a decision you made recently that has had important consequences for you. Analyze how you made the decision and answer the following 6 questions (and sub-questions).
a. Identify the criteria you used, either consciously or unconsciously, to guide your decision making.
b. List the alternatives you considered.
c. Were they all possible alternatives?
d. Did you unconsciously (or consciously) ignore some important alternatives
e. How much information did you have about each alternative?
f. Were you making the decision on the basis of complete or incomplete information?
g. Try to remember how you reached the decision.
h. In retrospect, do you think your choice of alternative was shaped by any of the cognitive biases discussed in chapter 5?
i. Having answered the previous five questions, do you think in retrospect that you made a reasonable decision?
j. What if anything, might you do to improve your ability to make good decisions in the future?
Format your homework according to the give formatting requirements:
a. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
b. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the course title, the student's name, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
c. Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
