a) Write about your perception of crime. How much crime do you think is occurring? Specifically, do you think the crime rate is increasing, decreasing, or staying about the same in the United States? Do you think the crime rate is increasing, decreasing, or staying about the same in your home state? Is there more, less, or about the same crime in your home state compared to the United States?
b) How did your perception of crime (Step 1) compare to the data for your home state and the United States? What may account for the similarities and differences between your perception and the actual statistics?
