(a) At present, in San Jose the number of cars per capita is 1.5. In five years from now, the number of cars per capita will increase to 2 (in average) due to affluence. How many more cars will be in the streets of San Jose in 5 years? (Assume that at present, the total population of San Jose is 2.5 million and the population Growth Rate is 0.7 % for the next 5 years.

(b) Calculate how much more CO2 emission (in g/kg/ton) we can expect per day after 5 years compared to the present emission from cars only in San Jose, while the carbon emission rate per car per day is 853 g. (C: 12; CO2: 44).
