Research on love and intimacy has shown that two of the most important predictors of love are proximity and similarity. In recent years, there has been an exponential increase in the number of people who are involved in online dating.
a) How might the increase in online dating affect the relative influence of the factors of proximity and similarity?
b) Propose a research study to test the role of one of these factors, referring to research to support your analysis.
