People don't share too much at first and tend to stick to safe topics while figuring out if they click. It is all about getting comfortable and making a good impression without getting too personal. As things move forward, conversations start to get deeper. People open up about their opinions, experiences, and what they like or don't like. Sharing more personal details back and forth helps build trust and makes both partners feel more connected. Once a relationship is more established, talking about important things like values, family, goals, and even fears becomes normal. Partners listen, respond with empathy, and feel safe sharing vulnerabilities. Communication becomes easier and more natural because both people feel understood. In long-term relationships, conversations are relaxed and genuine. Couples share openly, joke around, and handle conflicts together without tension. communication shifts from polite small talk to honest, personal exchanges, with self-disclosure growing as trust and comfort increase (Lehmiller et al.,2020).
