The models are:

  • Trans theoretical Model
  • Social-Ecological Model
  • Protection Motivation Theory
  • Health Belief Model

Assignment:

Using each of these Health Models, discuss the case above. First, create a profile of your friend-who are they? Where are they from? What type of upbringing did they have? How old are they? How would each Health model influence your friend's health behavior in regarding to smoking? What factors and steps would your friend go through if he was responding to: 1. The Trans theoretical Model, 2. The Socio-Ecological Model, 3. The Protection Motivation Theory Model and 4. The Health Belief Model.

List each model and create an analysis of factors and responses for each one in your friends case. How might different models affect his opinions and thus his motivation to change his habit?
