10,000 marathon hopefuls are timed (to the nearest minute) over two trials. The data was give:

Trial 1: Average=130, SD= 20
Trial 2: Average=120, SD=15
The correlation r=0.6

The scatter plot is football shaped(and homoscedastic) and the normal curve can be used as needed.

a) Only runners who have times of 96 minutes or less on Trial 2 qualify for the next stage. How many runners quliafy?
