Introduction

Courageous, daring, and fearless, are words that come to my mind when I read the story about Malala Yousafzai. Some people recognize the name Malala Yousafzai as "The girl who was shot by the Taliban or the seventeen-year-old Nobel Peace Prize winner". Not only did she win the Nobel Peace Prize she also was a great fighter for women and girls rights. Malala Yousafzai fought hard to change the world by fighting for girls to have the rights to an education. Malala Yousafzai was a person who believed in people and stood for the rights of all. After being shot by the Taliban, Malala continued to fight for educational rights. Malala has marked the world as "The woman who stood up for girls education and women rights".

Malala Yousafzai was born on July 12, 1997, in Mingora, the largest city in the Swat Valley in what is now the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan (Yousafzai). She is the daughter of Ziauddin and Tor Pekai Yousafzai and has two younger brothers. At a very young age, Malala developed a thirst for knowledge. For years her father, a passionate education advocate himself, ran a learning institution in the city, and school was a big part of Malala's family (Yousafzai).

Malala Yousafzai demonstrated courage in the face fear by not letting the shotting stop her from fighting for what she believes in. Malala stated after being shot it took away her fears. She stated that she has already seen what death is and know this is what is supporting her fight for education rights. Before the attack she stated that she was afraid. She described her fear of a full-blown war in her beautiful Swat Valley, and her nightmares about being afraid to go to school because of the Taliban. She stated she is not scared anymore because she has already experienced death.

Conclusion

In conclusion, she was courageous, daring, and fearless. Malala believed in education for girls and the rights of women. Malala showed a lot of courage by continuing to fight for what she believed in and that women can change the world. Even though she was shot fighting for what she believes in she stated she will not be afraid.
