Problem: Program of Study
My program of study is a Doctor of Health Administration (DHA), with a focus on improving healthcare systems, leadership effectiveness, and organizational outcomes. My research centers on clinical laboratory environments and how leadership practices influence workforce performance and well-being.
Problem Statement
Clinical laboratory professionals play a critical role in healthcare delivery, as diagnostic testing informs the majority of clinical decision-making. Within hospital-based laboratory environments, staff is often required to manage high workloads, staffing shortages, and time-sensitive responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. These demands create physically and mentally taxing work conditions that can affect employee engagement, staff well-being, and productivity. A growing body of research indicates that leadership practices, particularly communication, teamwork, and supportive engagement, play a significant role in shaping workplace environments and influencing employee trust and performance (Eva et al., 2024). The problem is that clinical laboratory professionals experience inconsistent and insufficient leadership engagement practices, resulting in decreased employee engagement, reduced staff well-being, and lower productivity (Eva et al., 2024; Maluleka et al., 2026). In healthcare settings, ineffective leadership engagement has been linked to increased burnout, emotional exhaustion, and reduced job performance among staff (Maluleka et al., 2026). As a result of these conditions, clinical laboratory professionals may experience decreased morale, disengagement, and reduced efficiency, which can ultimately impact workforce stability, organizational performance, and the quality of patient care. Gaining clinical laboratory professionals' perspectives on leadership engagement. Need Assignment Help?
