How justice can overcome differences in communities and be

Students are required to submit a 1000-word (minimum) term paper, which will count for 20% of their final course grade. The student will consider two questions, using at least 400 words for each question. First, the student will consider why justice is important within a community. The student will provide a description of what justice is, how it arises/exists, and how it affects a community.

Second, the student will consider if/how justice can overcome differences in communities and be extended beyond their immediate community. Is universal justice possible or can justice only exist within a specific community?

The student must incorporate significant references to at least one thinker discussed in the course so far, although it is recommended to draw from more than one. The paper should include a cover letter and bibliography, and proper citations should be used. Citations should follow either MLA or Chicago formatting. The paper must be in Times New Roman size 12 font and double-spaced.

Papers must be submitted through eCampus. Any student who turns in plagiarized work for the term paper will receive a failing grade for the course.
