Problem
Look up a specific large molecule protein drug and either state, or take an educated guess at, whether it has PTMs (and what type).
How is this protein made - in other words, is it expressed in bacteria, a single-celled eukaryotic yeast, or animal or other cells in culture? Does that make sense, given what you know (or can guess) about the protein? How would the expression system (bacteria, yeast, animal, plant cells) handle the PTMs and do you think the protein is secreted?
1-2 well written paragraphs is expected. The point of this assignment is for you to find out about the drug, analyze how it is expressed and modified, and summarize your findings. You may not be able to find all the information, but you should be able to draw some conclusions about the protein drug. Be sure to include the URL of any sources you use (biotech company website, PDB, Wikipedia).
