Discussion Post: Health Assessment, Promotion and Prevention
Choose one Healthy People 2020 (HP2020) topic or Leading Health Indicator (LHI) of interest to you and one that can be addressed in your community. Review the overview, objectives, interventions and resources, and national snapshots (data).
Then, present and answer the following:
• Summarize the topic or LHI you chose including a minimum of 2 specific objectives.
• How is the nation doing with the objectives you chose (look at the data and spotlight on disparities)?
• What programs or initiatives are addressing the Topic/LHI/objectives in your community?
• How can you specifically get involved and advocate to help communities meet the goal?
The response must include a reference list. Using one-inch margins, double-space, Times New Roman 12 pnt font and APA style of writing and citations.
