II. World War Z the novel
2. Explain what the Redekker Plan is and why it is significant.
3. Analyze three characters from in the novel which you think are most important? Explain why each character is important and how that character contributes to the overall development of the novel, its depiction of the zombie wars, and its predictions about the future of humanity.
III. World War Z the movie
4. How is the cause and cure of the zombie outbreak different in the movie from how it is portrayed in the novel?
5. List three significant differences between the novel and film versions of World War Z.
6. Analyze one scene from the movie World War Z and explain its significance. Please explain a) how it depicts the figure of the zombie, b) how it uses the figure of the zombie as an allegory of some larger political concern (i.e. the environment, terrorism, the future of technology, etc.), and c) what attitude this scene takes toward the future of humanity (i.e. pessimistic or optimistic). In conclusion, make an argument for why you think this scene is important.
7. Explain what you have learned from studying zombie texts.
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
