Case study III: Elderly female (65yo)Height 5'2" Weight 92 lbs. Hx Irritable Bowel Syndrome
• Determine the patient's BMI and present how you calculated it.
• How is BMI used in health assessment, promotion and disease prevention? What are the strengths and weaknesses of the method?
• What evidence-based practice health promotion interventions (strategies) would you suggest for this patient?
• What resources and/or technology applications could be provided to guide the patient in self-management of health?
