a) How influenced are we by culture, media, family, etc, to fit within our gender? On the other hand, how much of it is biological?
b) According to Peggy Orenstein, what does it mean to "be a man" for many males and what are the potential effects? What are each of these works, including the music video and TED Talk, saying about the pressures to "be a man?" What do you think of these portrayals and influences? Can you give specific experiences or observations?
