How individual perspectives affect different creative works

Question: What elements of your peers' examples resonate with your own educational experiences? How did individual perspectives affect different creative works related to the social movements that your peers mentioned? Need Assignment Help?

For my discussion post, I chose the social movement around School Nutrition and Free Lunch because it hits close to home. The main goal of this movement is to make sure every student has access to healthy meals, no matter what their family's financial situation. I grew up on free school lunch while being raised by a single dad, and I remember how much it helped him not worry about packing extra food or stretching groceries even thinner. For a lot of parents, having free lunch available gives them a little breathing room so they can focus on putting good- quality food on the table at home. Access to healthy food also matters because what kids eat affects their energy, focus, and overall ability to learn, and that's something every student deserves. For the creative work, I'm using the "Full vs. Empty" concept. Imagine a student photography project showing two different lunch experiences at the same table. One student sits with a full tray, representing access, stability, and dignity. The other sits with an empty tray, symbolizing hunger, stigma, and inequality. The photos are placed side by side, making the contrast impossible to ignore. Seeing the empty tray creates a sense of empathy and makes you think about what some students might be dealing with quietly, without ever saying a word. The contrast between the full and empty trays symbolizes the difference between privilege and struggle in a school setting. It highlights how not all students start their day with the same basic needs met, even though they're expected to perform at the same level. The artwork challenges the cultural belief that kids should "earn" lunch or that hunger is rare in schools, which we know isn't true. The message the student artist sends is simple but powerful: food is a basic educational resource, and no child should be hungry at school. My perspective aligns with the artist because I've seen firsthand how much nutrition affects a child's energy, mood, and ability to focus. I meal prep and do my best to provide healthy food for myself and my family, even my cats, so I understand how important consistent nutrition is. As a parent with kids who also receive free lunches, I know how helpful it is to have that support a few times a week. It gives us space to focus on healthy breakfasts, dinners, and snacks without stretching ourselves thin. I believe universal free lunch should be offered everywhere, and not just basic food, healthy options. The kids of today are the adults of tomorrow and giving them access to good nutrition is one of the best ways to help them grow into healthy, capable adults.
