How in the world do you deduce what the rules are where you

Problem

Consider the questions that the author, Ken Guest, raises in the Preface:

"Every time you walk into a room and try to figure out how to fit into a new group of people - in your classroom, in a student club, at the office, at a party, in your religious community, when your new love interest takes you home to meet the family - how in the world do you deduce what the rules are? Where you fit in? What you're supposed to do? What the power dynamics are? What you can contribute to the group?"

Think about some recent experiences you've had and consider how did you do those things that Guest mentions. How did you figure out the culture of those settings and how to navigate it. How did things work out? Did everything go smoothly? How did you know?

Write a short reflection paper, 2 pages long, double-spaced, 12-point font.
