How, in different eras that we have covered in this class, could aesthetics or "taste" be understood to have a strong political dimension? "Politics" here can be interpreted broadly to include struggle over governing institutions, gender relations, class relations, and more. Your minimum of three examples must represent different eras covered over the quarter, both before and after the midterm. You must draw on both primary and secondary sources to develop your arguments.
