Political action can take many forms. Volunteering on state and national panels, helping to organize local rallies, or even participating in online forums. As you develop your skills as a DNP prepared Nurse Practitioner, you will discover that your voice and actions matter! This week's discussion board looks at your perception of your own voice in being politically active.
Answer the following questions:
1) What local, state, or federal organizations do you belong to (or plan to belong to) and what is/are their importance in bringing change? (not just health related)
2) How have organizations in nursing/medicine demonstrated a change in practice by taking action on an issue?
