Paper Assignment: Greenwashing in the Seafood Industry
Write a 9 to 10 pages paper on how greenwashing has increasingly developed the seafood industry. Sustainable fishing has been promoted all around the world, yet still causing damage to our oceans and animals. Focus on the larger corporations around the world and the U.S. that promote eco-friendly fishing, but are not truly sustainable. Discuss how labeling increases sales for these companies and how they try their best to hide it from the people, sometimes with the help of governments. Include the large nonprofit sustainable organizations that provide the labels for these companies.
