Here are some key tips you can include as well to help: I am Canadian Haitian. i speak English, Haitian Creole and French. I am also African American and women. I believe when it comes to diversity and inclusion it is very important to treat everyone with respect and kindness. Not only was i raised this way but i still believe this a sult and practice this. In society someone like me with all the characteristics listed immigrant, women African is sometimes below a hierarchy but that's because of unfair predjucial standards people set. if people were to look at my skills as a therapist they would see I'm highly quailed therefore that's why when it comes to working with clients it important not to pay attention to certain characteristics unless it going to affect a program or treatment plan because at the end of the day all clients should be treated fairly regardless of color, gender, socioencomic background anything. Now I'm saying it matters when you have a client maybe a middle eastern descent who has more dense accent so communication styles is harder or taking rules from a women therapist doesn't work like a man because in their culture men are at the top.
