Develop and research your own case study of a rural or coastal community which has potential for tourism development. The community must be an existing one.
Criteria to be included:
(1) What kind of possible positive and negative impacts should decision- makers identify from beginning of tourism development?
(2) How does tourism development affect the social structure of a host area?
(3) How would you reinforce a ‘Low Impact, High Volume' prospects to boosts up economy and produce employment in the host community?
(4) How would you preserve and protect the cultural assets of the community and prevent cultural collisions between residents and visitors?
(5) From the article,' what the visitors have to offer', suggest guidelines to attract a ‘responsible global citizen' to the country/ destination you are researching on.
