Problem
In the ILSW book, there is an analogous use of the First Law of Thermodynamics, the Law of Energy Conservation, to describe the work environment. How does this concept apply to business and management?
i. If something is to get done, someone must transfer their energy to that task; it will not happen on its own. For a person to keep transferring energy to other tasks, he or she needs to get replacement energy, be reheated, through excitement, creativity and a reenergizing work environment.
ii. Heating a beaker of liquid in a high school lab class and adding unknown chemicals until the concoction explodes will reduce your grade by two letters.
