1. I talked a lot about going to the back of the line at MacDonald as an example of the rules of the game. Please keep in mind this "rules of the game" and explain three parts of questions.
a. How does the us Constitution define checks and balances among different branches of government?
b. How has the rules of the game in checks and balances among different branches of government changed since FDR and how does checks and balances really work now?
c. What do you think your duty is as an informed citizen and following the rules of the game in politics? Another word, just like when you go to McDonald, you go to the back of the line, what would you do in politics?
2. When we make public policies, we have to identify a problem first. When we do that, however, it is often hard to identify a problem as a public problem due to different political ideologies among different people. Please explain how political ideology plays a major role in identifying a problem as a public problem in terms of the public policy as an appropriate government action.
3. Why do you think it is important for a president to appoint like minded justices to the Supreme Court?
4. Please identify at least two differences between political parties and interest groups in the U.S. politics and briefly explain them.
5. Please describe what makes contributory social policy is more popular among American public tha non contributory policy. When you do that, please identify a key difference between them.
