One of Adler's contributions to psychology is the idea of goals or telos. In your own words, describe how you understand Adler's understanding of goal or purpose (telos). How does that concept relate to motivation? Read Genesis 1:26: "Then God said, ‘Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.'" How does this passage contain purpose? Compare and contrast this ideal of purpose with Adler's concept.
