Several large corporations (Google, Facebook and Apple to name a few) have decided to offer women, as part of their benefits packages, the option of freezing their eggs for later use.
A. Do some research and find out the pros and cons of this benefit.
B. Tell the class what you see as the pros/cons. Write a pros section and a cons section.
C. Do not focus on the process of freezing the eggs. Focus on what you think of this as a company benefit. Do not talk about the pros/cons of the procedure!
D. Think about how this issue applies to our discussions/reading in this course on social, economic and political implications for women's health issues. How does this issue relate to women's roles in society? Social determinants of health?
