How does the formal structure of outlaw motorcycle gangs

Respond to the following: Answer the discussion(X2). Include at least 2 references.

A good response to a written question should combine your personal experiences with theory to support your work. Be thoughtful and insightful and it must demonstrate critical thinking and analysis. A good response to the question should be about 3-4 paragraphs, and address all of the issues that are raised. (Introduction, body and conclusion.) Thank you.

D1: Hierarchy of Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs

This discussion will allow you the opportunity to discover the formal structure of outlaw motorcycle gangs.

Although many street gangs have a leader or "president," outlaw motorcycle gangs have a more formal structure. Consider the structure and its effect and respond to the following

1. How does the formal structure of outlaw motorcycle gangs affect the way in which the gangs conduct themselves as individuals and groups? How does the formal structure and impact make these gangs different from street gangs?

D2: Identifying Gang Members

This activity gives you the opportunity to examine the idea that what we watch (or listen to, or in some cases read (cf.Grey) can lead us down paths we wouldn't otherwise go down.

While this hasn't been the case much with the most recent spate of active killers, it has in the past for sure. Also, The Donald has suggested that violent video games might be problematic. And they likely are (cf. Grossman, The Assassination Generation).

The general idea here is whether what we see or watch causes us to become that. The most recent example of the Sons of Anarchy (sadly no longer on, though a follow up of sorts involving the Mayans is coming). Read the following articles and Respond to the question below:

• The National Gang Crime Research Center says Sons of Anarchy (SOA) is a problem.

• Tom Baker says that SOA gets some things right.

• Peterson says that SOA gets it right on race. Wow!

• Then there's this.

• And Bozell (who I usually like and agree with) says this.

2.The task here is to determine if SOA is as bad as the NGCRC (National Gang Crime Research Center ) says it is, or does it offer up knowledge that can be used regarding OMGs. It's about your reaction to the NCGRC piece as well as the others, some of which would agree, some of which would not.

Tell us what you think about these articles. A review essay of at least two of them (preferably all of them) would be a nice discussion post.
